Days like today are so difficult...
Its a perfect Quiet Storm day (here in Nashville-for those of you who live elesewhere) and there are so many fabulous Quiet Storm songs that I love that I am having a very hard time choosing just one. Hopefully it will rain again tomorrow...if not, we have all fall!

Smokey Robinson-Quiet Storm (1975)
The original. For those who don't know, it was this song and this album that started the Quiet Storm sub-genre of R&B (and contributed to Q.S.'s 1st cousin- Adult Contmeporary). It was also the inspiration behind the Quiet Storm radio show format that we all know and love. Not to mention that this song...shoot, this album!... never gets old. It really is so soft and warm....
Rene & Angela-You Don't Have to Cry (1986)
So, ya'll know me. You know that Rene & Angela is MY GROUP!! This song and this video is just off the chain. Angela is just so glamorous...I want her white sweater vest!! Also, the song is beautiful. It can apply to a lot of different kinds of relationships....lovers, parent/child, best friends, God/us. Watch it twice...first enjoy the 80's visual greatness; the second time listen to the words.
